2024/25 NSW Champion of Champion Pairs – Day One Update Caringbah Bowling Club Day One of the 2024/25 NSW Champion of Champion Pairs has seen a strong and spirited showing from our Caringbah representatives, with both our men’s and women’s teams doing the club proud. Women’s Pairs Our ladies, Candice Murphy and Maria Bettini, kicked off their campaign with an excellent performance against our good friends from Braidwood Bowling Club. Facing Suzan Curtis and Cara Paton, Candice and Maria showcased their experience and composure, securing a dominant 24–6 victory. A fantastic start for our Ramettes, and we wish them all the very best for their morning game tomorrow at Guildford Bowling Club as they look to build on today’s success. Men’s Pairs In a thrilling opening match, our Caringbah men faced a determined South Campsie combination. In a match that had it all, scores were locked at 17-all heading into the final end. Unfortunately, an umpire’s measure decided the game, with our boys narrowly going down 17–18 in a heartbreaking finish. However, showing true Caringbah spirit, the boys bounced back strongly in the afternoon session, taking on the highly-credentialed Shane Partridge and Keith Smith from Toongabbie. In a polished and controlled performance, they ran out impressive 21–12 winners. With the right results tomorrow, our men are very much still in contention, and combined with the great start from our ladies, both teams have everything to play for as the competition heats up. It’s been an awesome start to the tournament for the Rams and Ramettes, and we’re proud of how they are representing the club on the big stage. Best of luck to both teams tomorrow — we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! Go the Rams and Ramettes! Caringbah – Club on the Move!
