Caringbah Bowling Club Grade 3 Pennant Side – 2025 NSW State Championships Campaign The Caringbah Bowling Club’s Grade 3 Pennant side has completed our campaign in 2025 NSW State Pennant Playoffs in Yamba with heads held high, having proudly represented the Metro South East Region & Caringbah Bowling Club in what was a standout debut year for this newly formed team. From the outset, the team showed determination, skill, and true club spirit – dominating their sectional matches and proving they belong on the state stage. Sectional Dominance Caringbah’s campaign began with a strong performance against North West Region champions, North Tamworth, delivering a confident win with a scoreline of 72–46. The players adjusted quickly to the conditions and set the tone for the tournament with a disciplined and composed performance across all three rinks. In their second round, the team faced the highly regarded Swansea Workers, representing the Great Newcastle Region. Once again, the Caringbah side displayed their class and consistency, running out convincing winners 67–36, placing themselves firmly in the driver’s seat of the section. The third and final match of the sectional round saw a top-of-the-table showdown between two undefeated sides – Caringbah and Wagga RSL, the Riverina Murray Region champions. With a finals berth on the line, the match had the intensity and atmosphere of a championship clash. Caringbah rose to the occasion with another outstanding display, claiming victory 63–46 and securing top spot in their section, earning a place in the quarter-finals against Maitland City. Quarter Final Challenge The quarter-final against Maitland City, who had finished second in their own section, proved to be a different test. On a rain-affected and heavy green, the conditions swung momentum away from the fluent and attacking style that had defined Caringbah’s sectional success. Maitland City adapted quickly, starting strong and applying early scoreboard pressure. As the rain intensified, the match was temporarily halted. Unfortunately, when play resumed, Maitland City maintained their rhythm and control, running out winners 73–34 in challenging conditions that didn’t suit the Metro South East champions. A Campaign to Remember Despite bowing out in the quarter-finals, the Caringbah Grade 3 team’s achievements in 2025 have been nothing short of outstanding. In their first campaign as a team, they claimed the Grade 3 Metro South East Pennant Flag and carried that form all the way to the final eight of the State Championships — an incredible accomplishment and a sign of great things to come. Acknowledgement A special thanks and sincere appreciation must go to Team Manager Warrick Mitchell, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured the team was organised, focused, and supported throughout the entire campaign. From all season long & match-day preparation, Warrick’s professionalism and dedication were instrumental to the success of this team A heartfelt thanks goes out to the club supporters, families, and members who made the journey to Yamba to cheer the team on through rain and shine. Your support was felt on the green and deeply appreciated by every player. This campaign has set a new benchmark for success at Caringbah Bowling Club. The club couldn’t be prouder of its Grade 3 players and looks forward to seeing this team grow, inspire, and lead in seasons to come. Go the Rams – Caringbah on the Move!
