Today, the members of the Caringbah Bowling & Recreation Club (CBRC) came together for a day filled with competition, celebration and marking the end of another successful season at the BAH!.
The day kicked off with a lively bowls Spider, which was won by Russell Crowther. This was followed by a 3-bowls pairs competition, with teams drawn randomly. In the first semi-final, Michael Lew and Warrick faced off against Kev Oldroyd and Bob Neeves, with Kev and Bob emerging victorious. The second semi-final saw Ken Gilmour and Paul Supple win out over Tracey Bennett and Les Symonds.
The finals match was a nail-biter, with the scores tied at 1-all on the final end. Kev Oldroyd’s team holding the shot, but Paul Supple executed a brilliant, weighted shot, pushing the jack into the ditch to secure one shot victory.
Following these matches, the club celebrated its champions with an awards presentation for the 2023/24 season. The event honored CBRC’s Champions with its members.
