Match Report: 2024/25 Caringbah Bowling Club Consistency Singles Final
The final of the 2024/25 Caringbah Bowling Club Consistency Singles Championship was played last Saturday at Sylvania Bowling Club, delivering a thrilling contest that lived up to all expectations. In a match that will be remembered for its intensity, sportsmanship, and high-quality shot-making, Kevin Oldroyd edged out Rebecca Turnbull in a nail-biting finish, claiming victory with a final score of 150–148.
From the outset, both players displayed outstanding skill and composure, trading momentum across the duration of the match. It was a true showcase of consistency bowls at its finest — tactical precision, unwavering focus, and mutual respect.
Rebecca was exceptional, playing with determination and class throughout. Her ability to apply pressure and respond with big shots under tight conditions was truly commendable. Kevin, equally composed and measured, held his nerve in the dying stages to secure the narrowest of wins in front of a supportive and appreciative crowd.
Congratulations to Kevin Oldroyd on becoming the 2024/25 Consistency Singles Champion, and sincere recognition to Rebecca Turnbull for her outstanding performance and grace in what was one of the finest finals seen at our club in recent years.
